A middle-aged woman was walking on the road, when she heard an announcement. "God is willing to come to the earth and bless us. Any body may come and give all that they would to see God. WE promise we win show God to yon". She couldn't believe her ears. When she looked at the anouncer, she was astonished to find people giving gold, money, children, house etc. She was amused at the fact that people actually believed this. She thought again. If God came, it would be too embarrassing for her; at the same time she couldn't trust the announcer.

She made up her mind. She went and informed the announcer that she will give all that she has, provided, God would accept to see her once and grant her a boon. The announcer thought it to be a special and decided to consider her demand.

The announcer was genuine. God did come down to bless everyone The announcer introduced her to the God and informed him of the special request. He smiled and asked her what she wanted as boon. Without reckoning she asked God to give her all that he took away from him. The God smiled again! The smile on the God's face seemed so familiar. It was very calm. It was as if a thousand messages were hidden in it It was an if he smiled and said it all. She seemed disturbed by that smile. She knew there was a message in the smile. She felt a sense of enlightenment, however not realizing what she was getting enlightened about. He granted her wish and walked away She wanted to speak to him again and ask him the meaning of that smile. It was too late.

She left for her home. She was shocked and was surprised to see her dead parents back. God gave her parents back whom she had lost when she was a child. She could not bear her happiness. She thought about all those moments when she wanted her parents to be her by her side when she needed them. She thought about all that she had to go through without them. The days she had to depend on her relatives for food and clothing. How she had to work hard for her education.

She looked around and started searching for someone. She was searching for her children and her husband. She waited and waited and they never came. She thought about all those moments she had. prayed to God and bad thanked him for giving her such a lovely husband and children. She had thanked him for all happiness he had given her after all that she had to go through in her life.

She was reminded of the smile of the God again. She ran, ran to the announcer. She asked him the meaning for what happened to her. He also smiled. He said, "You asked him back all that you had given him!! He gave it all back to you!! He gave you a lovely family because he had to take your parents when you were young. You had to fight your battle upward. Today, when you asked for the boon he gave you what he had taken from you, and took away what he had given you in return".

She suddenly got up from her sleep. She frantically looked around to see her children sleep peacefully. She bugged them in desperation and thanked God again. She would never cry for what she lost in the past or what she would stand to lose in the future.
